Tim Chalke is a lawyer in the major projects and class
actions department in Maurice Blackburn's Melbourne
office. He is currently working on the National Australia
Bank Collateralised Debt Obligations (CDOs) class action.
This action is about toxic debt and the exposure of the NAB to the
US sub-prime market.
Tim graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and Bachelor of
Arts (Hons) from the University of Melbourne in 2005, and a Master
of Laws from the same university in 2011. He was admitted to
practice in Victoria in 2006.
Before joining Maurice Blackburn, Tim worked for the Australian
Securities and Investments Commission where he was involved in the
investigation and prosecution of market manipulation and insider
trading.
Tim is a member of the Young Lawyers and Litigation sections of
the Law Institute of Victoria.
