Aron Neilson

Aron Neilson joined Maurice Blackburn in August 2010 as a lawyer
working in Employment and Industrial
law.
Aron has a broad range of experience in advising employees and
employee organisations on employment and industrial law matters. He
is an admitted Solicitor of the Supreme Court of NSW and the High
Court of Australia, as well as being an admitted Solicitor in
England and Wales.
While in England, Aron practiced as a solicitor for a large
national trade union, providing advice on all facets of employment
law both within the UK and the European Union. Before this he was
engaged as a Legal Officer for a large Australian trade union,
and advised the union on all aspects of employment and industrial
law and assisted the union as it transitioned through the Work
Choices legislation.
Aron is a member of the Law Society of NSW, Australian Institute
of International Affairs and is the Australian co-coordinator for
the International Centre for Trade Union Rights (ICTUR). He has
also recently chaired the annual meeting of ICTUR during the ILO
conference in Geneva and has presented to forums on a range of
issues both within Australia and overseas.
